GIRL SCOUTS OF GREEN HILLS COUNCIL
Girl Scout Online Learning
The new online Volunteer Orientation (both English- and Spanish-language versions) is the first close-up view of the Girl Scout organization for all new volunteers.
This convenient, online course is designed to introduce new volunteers to Girl Scouting and the many rewarding opportunities Girl Scouting offers girls and adults. The link below will take you to the orientation—following these instructions (it might be a good idea to print this screen before you begin):
Click on this link: http://onlinelearning.girlscouts.org
Once you've reached the page requiring your password, enter the word "discover."
When you get to page 12 in the Volunteer Orientation, a screen will come up with the option at the bottom for Learning Log. Click on the link and it will bring you to the instructions for completing the Learning Log.
Make sure you complete the appropriate boxes and type in your first name and last name. Type in your e-mail address, type a semi-colon, and then cmcphillips@gsgreenhills.org
Use the dropdown menu to locate and click on our council—Green Hills. Click on the Continue button.
Type in your answers to the corresponding questions when the next screen appears. After you are finished answering the questions, click on the Continue button.
On this next screen, you will have the ability to click on the Edit button and change your basic information. Click on the second Edit to change the content of your Learning Log answers. Click the Continue button at the bottom of either the basic information page or the Learning Log page to return to this page. Then scroll to the bottom and click on Continue.
On this next screen you will be given an Access Key. You will need this Access Key if you shut down the Volunteer Orientation and want to edit your Learning Log in the future. Click on the Continue button and you should receive a message stating "Your data input is now complete."
This completes your Orientation Training! You should receive an e-mail informing you of your Access Key with a link back to your Learning Log if for any reason you would need to change it or if you want to print a copy of it.
If you have any questions regarding these instructions or need help with the process, please call the Freeport Service Center at 815-235-8777 or e-mail me at cmcphillips@gsgreenhills.org
